We’re one of the only log builders in Ontario to have access to Eastern WhitePine, Western Red Cedar, Western Douglas Fir, Eastern Red Pine, Eastern White Cedar, and White Spruce – with so many wood types and colours to choose from, the only limit is your imagination.
We can build handcrafted log homes in several different styles, including Scandinavian / scribe fit, hand hewn, dovetail, piece-en-piece, chinked, post and beam, and timber frame – providing you with numerous options when it comes to the overall look and feel of your log home.
With equipment of all sizes available at our lot in Killaloe, Ontario, our expert craftsmen can build a home as large or as small as you want, from a small log cabin to a 5,000 sq. ft. dream home.
Working with award-winning log home designer Murray Arnott, Coyote Log Homes can showcase several exclusive log home floor plans – providing you with a plethora of ideas and concepts to help shape your dream home.
No matter what look you’re hoping to achieve, our team will work with you every step of the way to ensure that your dream home completely matches your unique vision. We don’t build from pre-assembled “log kits” – we listen to and embrace all of your own ideas and designs, no matter how simple or elaborate they may be.
We’re not your grandfather’s log building company. Led by a young, dynamic couple in Daniel and Shelley Albert, Coyote Log Homes is an energetic, fast-growing company that constantly pushes the envelope with innovate designs and backs it all up with a smart, professional business plan.
We don’t “clear cut” our trees – the logs we use are individually handpicked from a network of local farms and landowners, and each tree is cut in a way to protect and ensure the sustainability of the forest for generations to come.
When we build a log home, we build it to the highest standards of energy efficiency. Study after study has revealed that handcrafted log homes are superior to conventional homes in terms of energy efficiency, meaning you stay warmer and pay less on energy costs.
When you build with us, we don’t stop with the walls, staircases, and railings – every Coyote client receives a personalized log carving, a carved fireplace mantle, and a one-of-a-kind handcrafted scrapbook, which documents the entire log home building process from beginning to end. Our clients become part of our family – as such, exceptional personal service is one of our top priorities.
Unlike many other log builders, we do all of the work ahead of time on our lot at Barry’s Bay – from the complete log shell construction to all of the necessary bleaching, staining, and fungicide treatments, everything is done before the logs are delivered and installed on your property. This means that the final reassembly process is much quicker and there is less equipment cluttering up your property.
We go the extra mile to make sure you’re always aware of what’s happening with your handcrafted log home by constantly updating you on its progress, coordinating site visits, and meeting with you in person to discuss all of the project details.
